European Union banking regulations require us to verify the identity of customers who send money online. All Money2India Europe users have to undergo the identification process to continue uninterrupted usage of this service. If you do not complete your identification your transaction would be restricted upto EUR 1000.
For identification process please follow the below mentioned procedure:
Users from Germany:
Step 1: Kindly visit personally the nearest Deutsche Post Office with the Postident coupon and your ID documents. Please carry your passport (Reisepass) or ID card (Personalausweis) as identification proof.
Please note: For users registering after September 10, 2013, you can download the Postident coupon from your account. The path to download the coupon is -
After logging into Money2India Europe Account -> My Profile -> Identification.
Step 2: Please present the Postident coupon as well as your identification document to the postal clerk. The clerk at Deutsche Post will capture the data and ask for your signature on the Postident form to confirm the details. The Post office will then send us this form.
Users outside Germany:
In case, you are already an existing bank account holder with ICICI Bank India your status will be updated in our system and you will not be required to send us further documents.
If you are not a customer of ICICI Bank in India, then we request you to kindly send us the below mentioned identification documents.
Please take copies of the following documents.
- Visa/Residence Permit
- A bank statement of the account which you have registered on Money2India Europe. The bank statement should show your registered address and should be less than 3 months old.
Copies require attestation either by your bank, a consulate or by yourself.
